They were never anything more than one good hire away from being competitive for championships. now, I don't know. At this point they are one billionaire way from being competitive. With the new rules allowing schools to pay players directly, I'm not sure that money should be spent on coaches anymore. Maybe some school should try hiring a low cost coach, and using that money to pay players instead. A coach can't win without talent, and you can't get talent without money. There are a lot of great coaches at all levels.

B) whomever told you Ziggy was the answer needs to give their head a shake. First, his name is ZIGGY, and Secondly he isn’t the one drawing up sets
Also, shame on you for believing whomever told you he would be a miracle worker.
C) I’ve been to every arena in this league when they have been empty. No one in this league is special. And it won’t get better for teams located in towns where you can get to a cornfield quicker than you can get to a high rise.

1. They aren't better equipped than 50% of D1. I can get to 150 teams they're clearly behind before I even start to look at MAC or Sun Belt schools.
2. Maybe I'll search for the thread sometime. But there was a lot of Kool Aid consumption.
3. Yet, Evansville (and Valpo) is still at the bottom. No one else may be special to you, but they've all managed to run circles around the Aces and, despite the NIL/transfer portal, still are.

1) odd of you not to know that being in the top 150 teams still puts you in the top 50% of D1. I don’t know what school you went to or root for, but maybe they didn’t teach you math at your state or directional school.
2) You said it, not me. Back it up or shut your trap.
3) Run Circles is a wild statement. If run circles is a few possessions then you really nailed it.
