RMU on the cusp of joining the Horizon League. Great move by school and conference.

With Valpo dropping soccer, the Valley only has 5 schools now in soccer.

I would like to see the league possibly merge the MAC for soccer, which has Akron, West Virginia, SIUE, Northern Illinois, WMU, and Bowling Green.

SIUE has returned to the Valley for soccer only, beginning in 2021, which now leaves the MAC with 5 teams in soccer.

A bit surprising they would leave the MAC but I guess it gives them a better chance to make and succeed in the tournament. Wonder if there will be other moves on the horizon not just for soccer but for the conference at large. Other conferences are making moves right now and with Elgin beginning to realize the need to make a move I wonder how quickly we'll see the MVC make an addition.

Bethune-Cookman heading to the SWAC to join FAMU. Move will take place in 2021

Delaware State talking to the NEC.

Some (largely unsubstantiated so far) rumors of South Carolina State looking to leave the MEAC.

Seems like the MEAC might be done.

As it stands with the SWAC taking Bethune-Cookman and FAMU and the recent moves made by the HL to get to 12 that's two more conferences at 12. Might be time for the MVC to take a serious look at potential candidates though perhaps they can afford to wait a little longer to see how things shake out with the new financial realities which might open up some new unforeseen candidates, as BEARZ mentioned in another thread.

A rare win for the MEAC and Lord knows they could use one right about now. Delaware State is staying at least for the time being and NOT moving to the NEC.

Smart move by SIUE to join the MVC in soccer. They have a good soccer program and without looking does that give the Valley a even amount of schools now.

Yes, that puts the league back at 6 members (it had been 5).

St. Thomas is officially moving to Division 1 starting next fall. They'll be in the Pioneer League for football and the Summit League for most other sports. Looks like they won't be eligible for the post-season until 2026.

They won't be eligible for the NCAA Tourney but will be eligible for other postseason tourneys including The NIT.
