ISU started the MVC season last year red hot and jumped out in front of the pack, had a lull in the middle, and finished very strong for a 3rd place finish. If anyone was surprised by that team, then they have nothing to blame but themselves and poor coaching.
I realize ISU was not exactly an amazing team last year, but some of you are completely underselling them. They clearly demonstrated the ability to win last year, and they defeated every one of the top teams in the conference last year.
I realize you are one of Indiana State's charity workers and will never convince you the other side of the argument.
Lame? Not really. Factual? More than likely.
They finished 3rd in another year of Valley mediocrity. If UNI didn't lose a big, they would have barely hung on to an upper-division finish. They made a great run on that weekend. I'll give them that. But they are a team that did not strike fear in my eyes after losing 14 times, were swept by Evansville in the regular season, lost to the likes of Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, and Loyola, Ill and got pounded by 30 to a 21-loss Wyoming team.
Sorry if that makes me the town bully.
