I'm the only person that said anything about FTs. I think shooting 18 FTs is impressive. Making 14 of them is just fine. Scoring 9 points in the flow of the game while playing 42 minutes just isn't that impressive to me.

I don't have a dog in this race. I was just trying to add some perspective to what was accomplished by Colt versus others. The season is upon us and we now have more than 1 post per day on this site. Get used to discussion and/or disagreement with your opinion from time to time.

Geeeeez

I didn't realize I had a contrary opinion to such a fount of basketball knowledge? Sorry 4-14 is still just that. It's possible to still have good game and not shoot well. But not a great one. And that's just my opinion just like your post was.....

could it be Colt shot 18 free throw because he was foul while shooting thus altering his shot. Getting to the free throw line that many time takes a lot of work and usually a beating. Oh I forgot the refs only made the calls for us and I don't know squat about basketball... Hey I'm ok with if that is your opionon. Opinion are like a$$hos most of them stink

And..............that is my point. He shot 4 for 14 because of how he was trying to score. Colt used to be a cut and catch 3 point shooter. He is now catching and penetrating dribble or going off the dribble to the basket, causing him to be fouled.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

I've gotta say I still don't agree with you but I admire your fire in sticking up for your player. I'd probably do the same. That's why sports are fun to debate but the opinions of fans aren't worth much.

I look forward to seeing Ryan and Weems go head to head on Jan 15.

That's also what I was saying about it being more impressive when you score during game flow. Good players get double teamed all the time! You think Doug McDermott was wide open? Of course not. You're a really intelligent guy when it comes to basketball. Really good players shoot better than 40% from the field. It's not uncommon to shoot 75% from the FT line. It is uncommone to shoot 28% from the floor and win POW.
