But you guys get a cold, white Christmas every year, so you got that going for you which is nice.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

If I remember correctly, CU was pretty hard after him this time losing out to MSU. Might have been someone else but thought it was Biz.

Different situation, Michael never signed a Letter of Intent, only verballed. DePaul came in late and he went with the program in the bigger conference, not necessarily the better program. He would have been in the class that graduated last year (same year as O'Rear) unless he redshirted.

As it was, we saved the scholarship and signed a juco the next year named Farohkmanesh. I guess it worked out fine for us.

As for McDecommit, I have settled that he was never going to be a Panther for four years anyways. Daddy Bigbucks was just stashing his little darling with his "friend" until he got his butt canned at Iowa State and ended up elsewhere. At which point he would have asked his "friend" to let his son come wherever he ended up next. Just happened that one opened up before Iowa State dumped him and we never got anything out of it. So be it.

You still seem kind of upset. Very passive aggressive with McDecommit and friend in parentheses. Also must stink seeing schools like CU, MSU, and Wichita State leap up past you while you flounder. But still you should try to get over some of that. The Biz stuff and the McDermotts and so forth.

Creighton did have some interest.

If we had gotten him, I doubt Austin Chatman would have committed. I'm satisfied with the way it worked out.

Those double hanging commas are called "quotations," not (parentheses). Hate to be the grammar police, but that's one that might come in handy in the future should you become a novelist.

He visited both and was making a decision between the two. In the end, he went with MSU.

Doesn't mean one team beat out the other etc. just that he liked the situation at MSU better.

I don't follow recruiting much, but that statement would make a lot of sense. He had one year left, you would assume that he would want to start. Creighton already had a starter that he would unlikely beat out. Missouri State, on the other hand, was wide open. The other aspect would be what he really wants to do with his life. He's played basketball for four years, has a degree and would probably want to finish up at a school that would further his education. I don't know what his degree is in, possibly Missouri State has a masters program, or better masters program in that field. Missouri State definitely had the better situation if he wanted to start, I don't know how the educational situation panned out.

I started this thread and I'll end it - McDermott is the best player in the Valley. He will probably even get run for All-America honors if this continues and CU stays in the Top 25.

If things keep going the way they are right now, you are right. When Weems is playing like he is capable of, they're pretty close.

The bigger concern for me is that MSU doesn't have any young players that are on the level of McDermott, Odum, etc. It should tell you something when we keep recruiting JUCOs over the top of sophomores.
