[quote="PricklyPete"]I think Doug is very happy he is part of the Creighton family.

I think he would be just as happy playing for the Panthers, Shockers, Bulldogs, or whatever team he ended up with. He seems like a good kid who is happy to be playing the sport he loves, and is having a dream season. Any one of us would be walking around with a smile like that.

Even my wife is a Doug McDermott fan.

Don't worry though, a little makeup easily hides the cigarette burns.

Either case is justifiable but everyone here is kidding themselves if the McDermott's did it to their program and they didn't harbor any resentment in the slightest. All in all it's semi-even because with the loss of one McDermott we gained Ben Jacobson, and the other loss will only hurt for a 4 year period.

I think we understand why they did though. Iowa State and Creighton are better jobs than UNI based on pay alone. We get that. If Doug wanted to play for his dad at Creighton it's hard to argue that too. Doesn't mean it doesn't sting though.

Exactly.

Exactly.

Seems perfectly reasonable and fair to me. I'd feel the same way if I was a UNI fan.

Did somebody just mention Doug McDermott and the NBA in the same sentence?

Even his own father has no answers as to how effective he has been. Watching McDermott's play is hard on the eyes. Grace and athleticism are not his strong suits.
