I hope he finds happiness.

I hope he gets his degree.

Mom Rice, young men should learn about loyalty early in their lives.

:+1:

"Loyalty”? Unfortunately it’s a term of the past. I'm very disappointed to hear this news. IMO, there's simply too many transfers every year.

Players should make a commitment and learn to keep it. I understand there are some good reasons to seek a transfer like a coaching change, however, too many players decide the grass is greener somewhere else. They’re likely to be ‘job jumpers’ in the future.

I’m too lazy to do the research, but it would be interesting to see a 10-year graph on player transfers. Surely the line would be trending up?

I don't disagree with you but on the flip side a lot of schools de commit to their scholarship players if they don't perform don't they? And coaches certainly don't always honor their contracts to the end. So it's not just the players.

How much is a degree worth from Drake? I know at CU it is ~$40,000 per year ($31,000 tuitiion + 9,000 room and board).

Drake is the same as Creighton, give or take a few dollars.

Goodman lists Mizzou, Illinois, Nebraska, Xavier, and USC as having interest.

If he goes to Nebraska, that's a slap in the face and I wouldn't call that "big time."

Nebraska would be a joke. They will be worse than Drake. Miles might get things started in two years, but there is certainly NO guaranty that Nebraska will ever be anything above bottom half of the Big X. I like Rice, but he has a huge, long way to go if he thinks he is going to play in the NBA. He should be concentrating on getting a degree that will get him a job after college. There is a big different between taking Josh or Gibbs off the dribble and taking someone off the dribble in the NBA. He shot something like 25% form three. That aint' going to cut it in the NBA.

He's confident he can shoot 10-15% from the NBA three range.

Rice would be by far the best player on Nebraska's roster. Maybe that is what he wants.

But if that is what "Mama" wants is the issue here? He is a BIIIIIIG Mama's Boy and will go where she says & close enough to get to his games for sure. Can you say ILLINOIS !
