Expectations

Honest expectations for CU - 18-20 wins. Losses to Nebraska, Northwestern, BYU. 10-8 in the Valley with a 4-5 seed. The team just isn't much different from last year so it's hard to expect more unless the coaching change really energizes people.

My hopes are that Echenique is even half of what some have predicted and allows Lawson to play at power forward. This doesn't solve the problem of who is going to be able to score from the wings. I'd like for Korver to step up and for Harriman to be able to play his senior year pain free but I'm not sure either will happen.

UE probably will go somewhere around 5-6(that includes the BB). In conference, I don't see a road win. We may get 4 home wins. Ending up 4-14 in conference and 9-20 overall. There will be no post season and a play in game in St Louis.

Of course, things could change at any point. This is why they play the games. If they somehow finished in top 6, that would be a success IMO.

I think DrWu has turned over a new leaf. He has given up on his dreams of WSU playing in the Big XII and is now focused on making the Valley the premier nonBCS league in the country. I heard he is sending money to the ADs at all schools in the league. He has purchased hats, sweatshirts, and pompoms for every school. He has subscribed to the webcast feeds for every MVC member. He has even started renting a place in St Louis so he can help Doug Elgin out with whatever he needs.

He is now MVCDRMVC.

Not exactly, always a pipe dream, absolutely! Let's not get crazy, Nah, but I have subscribed to all the internet feeds, and I actually have a house in St. Louis now (unrelated to any help I may or may not be giving Mr. Elgin).

That's a little harsh don't you think? Come on, at minimum it's a compliment to be compared to one of the finest academic institutions in the greater Indiana area, don't you think? I sure would feel proud to be compared to such a school.

Plus the Aces have the best pure scorer in the league (at least returning scorer) in Colt "The Assassin" Ryan (that's my new nickname for him, if Aces fans don't mind that is!).


Knowing "The Assassin" will be patrolling the Valley for 3 more years is bit of a conundrum for me. On one hand, I just know he's going to kill my team probably more often than not but on the other hand, what a pure joy it is to watch this kid compete.

I differ with Aces 1982. Roberts Stadium will be a tough place to play for the MVC visitors. I see in Conference play 7-8 game home wins for the Aces and stealing a couple of games on the road. I believe we'll go winning 5-4 OOC. Finishing in the 5or6 place in Conference with a 15-14 record for the year. See you in St Louis on Friday
