Thanks for your look into the future Carnac. Now go back under your rock and settle in for another nap

That's really funny coming from a shox fan!

So many of them have come on here predicting the future of the Jays in the Big East and how bad they will fail.

Enjoy your S16 run, I will be rooting for you because I know the majority of the shox fans are quality folks.

Good luck with the Valley next year, you should be set up nicely now that you don't have to contend with the Jays for Championships anymore. If you don't dominate like Gonzaga I CAN predict that it will be an epic fail!

You're about to learn what fail means JayBird.

If this is how the move for Creighton to the Big East is viewed just what exactly does that say about the Valley? Their best and most consistent team over the last 15 years is nothing more than a doormat in the BE? What does that then say about the rest of the Valley teams?

For what it's worth, I don't think SHOXMVC or some of the others predicting doom and gloom are right...but if they are...I guess I see it as speaking volumes about the MVC overall.

Honest question for Jays fans, given the behavior of some of the WSU fanbase, would you lobby to have them be a part of the BigEast should the opportunity present itself? Given that some teams are lobbying hard to keep Dayton out for the same reason, I'm not sure having two obnoxious fan bases would be a good thing.

However, that is one way to continue the series.

It has nothing to do with the state of the MVC, but the state of CU next year without GE, GG and potentially Dougie. Manigat was so up and down, you can't definitively count on him, or the outside shooting of Chatman. Wragge is so one deminsional. I love Dingman, but does he step up. Yates didn't get the PT I thought he would. So on and so forth. CU would not be a top-2 team in the Valley next year. Middle of the pack for the Big Least, maybe. Yes the Jays will struggle period next year. It's time foe wookie to coach. Is he up to the challenge?

In all honesty, I think Creighton will be VERY successful in the new Big East long-term. We all know how well Creighton is supported by their fanbase while in the MVC and barely ever getting on television, and in all of the other aspects of the game despite having so much less money than the Power 6 teams. I can't imagine Creighton's strengths will be anything but amplified in the coming years.

I do think you're going to have a tough time winning with McDermott as coach without Doug, however. I think you guys got very lucky having the coach's son THAT talented, and getting Echenique as a transfer. Without those two, I think Creighton will struggle for a while.

However, long term, I expect Creighton will hire an excellent coach to replace him if I'm right, and Creighton may end up dominating the Big East. You guys will be in a position to pay $3 million + for a coach to replace McD, with a good conference and a great fanbase behind him.

I've always thought Creighton and WSU were sleeping giants in the MVC constrained by geography and lack of football. I see no reason to change that because Creighton isn't in the MVC anymore. I expect you guys to be a major program before too long.

My current fear is that the team Omaha fell in love with will be no more. I have loved watching CU for a couple reasons. Under Altman, CU pressed the living sh** out of every team they played. They played hard on defense and the fans appreciated them for it. I still like watching them play because they are methodical, almost predictable to a fault, but they play with skill, finesse and fundamentals. I can appreciate that as well.

My fear comes in recruiting athletes who are 'superior' because they run faster and jump higher, but refuse to buy into a team concept. I would rather watch 'lower' athletes overachieve than 'greater' athletes underachieve though apathy or ego. Altman seemed to have the same theory and McD has stated he likes 'mid major' players. I have high hopes for our new conference but I reserve judgement until I see the product on the floor night in and night out.

No, I have never had any fear of Pitt performing poorly.

But if that's what happened at Pitt, then yes.

CU has an E8 team offering them a home and home series and CU fans don't want it? CU doesn't need it?
