early will be back bigger and better. Vanvleet was brought along slowly but will be the main point next year. Baker will be a stud. Cotton will be our lockdown defender. Wessel is like a bigger version of Baker and will be ready to go. Hopefully Wiggins has figured out what it will take in the offseason to get it done next year. Here's the ace in the hole: we have a major stud named Kadeem Coleby that wil be our starting center. He's a one year guy like Armstead that paid his own way this year and will have one year to play. Remember that name. We'll be back next year. Hopefully the coaches will pick us 4th preseason.

".......but they are not Cinderella, said Shockers coach Gregg Marshall. "Cinderellas are usually done at this stage," Marshall said. "If you get to this stage, you can win it all."

Just awesome shockers. There was a good cheer in the McLeod tonight when they announced the score. Surprising how easy it is to root for the other teams in the league come March no matter how much of a bloodbath the regular season was. When we had our little moment, Shox fans were great (http://www.panthernation.com/showthread ... teams+fans) and its been fun watching this FINAL FOUR run.

Like how Marshall has Shocks playing. They didn't give Buckeye's many open looks.

Congrats on an amazing achievement. A lot of great teams don't get to this point, being one of the Final Four teams playing in early April. At times the Shockers have made it look easy but this team is a lot of fun to watch. The grit and determination and the way that they play together is what makes this team a very difficult one to beat. Finally healthy, this team endured a great deal during the regular season that prepared them for the final few minutes when things got tight. A great accomplishment for not only everyone associated with Wichita State, but for all the rest of us who love the Valley as well.

No pressure or anything now, but after my Aces as well as UNI went down in the CIT, you guys are the only one's standing to carry the MVC banner. Thanks for giving Evansville all this publicity, we caught you guys on a good afternoon in Evansville where you had key guys out, foul trouble, and a ton of turnovers and still hung around, showing a lot of those same things that allowed you to hold on this afternoon. It's not quite the same as watching Evansville do it, but seeing the MVC logo next to the Final Four logo on the scorer's table is going to look very sweet next weekend.

Thank you Wichita State for bringing spotlight to the Missouri Valley and the rest of the schools. We are a true basketball league, a league that plays in front of large crowds in places that wait from the end of March until mid October for basketball season to start and thank you for allowing people like myself to join in on this ride and experience those same feelings I have every November-March while I watch my Purple Aces try to get back to the NCAA Tournament once more.

All roads lead to Atlanta and although the Louisville-Duke winner will be another challenge, I don't think this group will be fazed one bit. They earned their place in the Georgia Dome and I can't wait to see this group play again this season.

Congrats and enjoy this, this is a special moment for all associated with WSU and this great league.

Hands down, this is the best defensive team in the Valley in the past 20 years, and maybe more.

:buddies: We're all friends tonight and till this wild Shocker ride ends...if it ever ends. Congrats on making all the analysts eat their words...taking out the #1 and #2 in the bracket...and hopefully redeeming Valley losses to Duke/Louisville throughout the year.

The landscape of College Basketball has been changing the last couple years with George Mason, VCU, and Butler...the only difference is these Shockers have the look of a big boy team with depth. Here's to cutting down the nets one more time for all The Valley and some truly respectful/passionate basketball fans that have always just wanted a chance against the so called big boys or power conferences!
