matter_of_fact wrote:The interesting thing about Lindy's conference rankings is that they listed MVC as 11th for 2013 but last year, with Creighton, the MVC was rated a pre-season 12th . I didn't look closely enough to know which conference the MVC passed. I would have thought the MVC, without Creighton, would be ranked lower since Lindy's now has the MVC in the "Mid-major/minor" category of conferences which is a demotion from the recent past

For the MVC, looking at the nc schedules and the exempt tourneys, there is little positive impact on the SOS (Outside of WSU and UNI) so it is going to be tough.

The Two teams Evansville swept is the only two bringing a positive impact to the non conference schedule?
I guess Indiana, Murray State, Butler, Ohio U,Xavier and Valpo are low 200 teams. I know....that why the Universities play the game
What matters more is staying in the same "draft" with the WCC, MWC, and A-10. Yes, I'm using a racing term. What really matters is being in the same tier as those three. There's 7 conferences above us who I don't think can be debated (ACC, B1G, Pac-12, Big 12, SEC, AAC (at least for one year, with Louisville) and BE, for now). So the important thing is the MVC staying in-step with the MWC, A-10, and WCC. It's ok to be 4th among those 4 as long as we're with that group and not with the group below.
