As they do WSU as well. But you better look again when you say they have so much more returning than MSU. Were they a better team last year, no doubt. But again I think people just keep underestimating the return of a fully healthy Gulley, the addition of an experienced Addo, and the maturation of those young players. But again time will tell.
Of course they return more than WSU. I wasn't making a throw-away comment about ISUb bringing back more players, though, I was referring to this part of his post:
I'll admit, I don't know a lot about UNI, ISUb, BU, and UE other than what they lost. All 5 of these teams were fairly close last year and MSU easily brings the most back.
MSU does not easily bring the most back of those five teams. ISUb does.
I absolutely think you're going to be a much better team this year. I've got MoSt penciled in at 4th this year. I just think there's a collective lie going on about MSU getting better "down the stretch" that isn't justified by the facts. Which is basically that you're all ignoring that MSU was absolutely terrible following a 3-1 start in conference and was getting obliterated by the end of the conference season, but back-to-back wins over Bradley and SIU, and "only" losing by 10 to WSU is disguising the rest of the season. MoSt never showed the maturation of the youth that you'd want to see -- they just kept getting worse as the season went on, not better. MoSt didn't peak in St. Louis -- they peaked on January 8th.
