You might want to actually be able to win on UE's floor before you attempt to kick them out of the conference. Hint: You haven't done this in six of the last seven times you have played here.

It's always funny when someone wants to kick a team out of their conference when they have lost 5 of their last 6 games against that team. Just think about how dumb that is for a few minutes.

I honestly don't see how a team fares against another is relevant at all. In my opinion, it helps the argument of kicking a team out of the conference more than it hurts. A crappy program beating good programs is bad for the conference.

Wichita State lost to UMKC 2 years in a row, maybe we should've invited them into the conference because they obviously showed they belong...or does it only matter if happens 5+ times?

If this is indeed from your SID, you would think he would actually know the names or the other schools in the conference. Elon University doesn't play in the MVC.

The past 5 years, according to statsheet, UE has had a final RPI of 88, 136, 134, 243, and 95. Granted, I wasn't a much major, but I don't see how those numbers average out to 178.

Since we are only looking at the conference schools, I took a look at the conference records over the past 10 years.

Here is how everyone stacks up (conference record only) over the last 10 years:

1. WSU: 112-68, worst 4-14, best 16-4
2. UNI: 111-69, worst 9-9, best 15-3
3. SIU: 100-80, worst 5-13, best 17-1
4. MSU: 94-86, worst 3-14, best 15-3
5. ISUr: 78-102, worst 4-14, best 13-5
6. DU: 77-103, worst 6-12, best 15-3
7. BU: 75-105, worst 2-16, best 11-7
8. ISUb: 72-108, worst 4-14, best 12-6
9. UE: 63-117, worst 3-15, best 10-8

Over the last 5:

1. WSU: 62-28, worst 8-10, best 16-2
2. UNI: 59-31, worst 9-9, best 15-3
3. ISUb: 45-45, worst 8-10, best 12-6
4. ISUr: 43-47, worst 4-14, best 11-7
4. MSU: 43-47, worst 3-15, best 15-3
6. UE: 39-51, worst 3-15, best 10-8
7. DU: 37-53, worst 7-11, best 9-9
8. BU: 32-58, worst 2-16, best 10-8
9. SIU: 30-60, worst 5-13, best 8-10

NCAA tournament games over the past ten years:

1. WSU: 9
2. UNI: 7
3. SIU: 6
4. BU: 3
5. ISUb: 1
5. DU: 1
7. ISUr: 0
7. MSU: 0
7. UE: 0

NCAA tournament games over the past five years:

1. WSU: 6
2. UNI: 4
3. ISUb: 1
4. DU: 0
4. SIU: 0
4. ISUr: 0
4. MSU: 0
4. UE: 0
4. BU: 0

You guys can draw your own conclusion, but if I was a Bears fan I don't know that I would be calling anyone out.

My apologies UE and those are the numbers the conference uses. The Monday after the final regular season league game.

We aren't going to agree but I imagine if you take a poll of this site which team has had the least amount of success in this league the overwhelming majority will pick UE.

I would definitely pick one of the three teams that hasn't been to the NCAA tournament this millennium.

We obviously have a very poor record of getting to the NCAA tournament along with the other 2. But our conference record is significantly better than the other 2. (over the last 10 years) and includes a conference title pretty recently. I agree we shouldn't be calling anyone out. But we are a significantly better program than the other 2 over the past 10 years and in that timespan we would rank 4 or 5 overall IMO. No where close to being a bottom feeder. Certainly below our capability though (again IMHO) .

MSU won 4.5% more MVC games in the past 5 years than "clearly the worst program in the Valey."

Truth is there are two good teams over the past decade and neither Evansville nor MSU is close.
