Indiana State's loss is a tough for for the Valley. Fortunately, they have easily the best win for the league so far at Notre Dame.

Bummer. I see the Jekyll-Hyde personna of ISUB continues to live on....

But ISUB fans shouldn't be to discouraged - they almost won against a team in reality has more talent (albeit it younger and has new coach learning his way). They might want to learn that if you live by the 3, you will die by them if you don't have a inside game.

I don't think Tulsa is bad this year. Losses at Creighton, versus WSU, @ Mo St and ORU. Mo St and ORU are good/decent teams.

I totally agree. I think they have some good young talent and some good athletes. And Manning is a good young coach. They just had a tough early schedule and are kind of inconsistent as most young teams are. They were due for a win. Just sorry it was against an MVC Team.

Right. Tulsa is not bad. Perhaps it will look like a decent loss by the end of the season.

ISU looks like it is what it is, though. Get up to beat supposedly better teams (and rather handily sometimes), but not good enough to consistently beat equal or lesser teams. Very disappointing because they show so much promise, but look destined to be on bubble the entire season. As noted, this was a very damaging loss because it probably cost Sycamores at least one solid RPI game, and also added a game on road against a very good D-II squad that almost always grabs at least one win in this tournament. Very easy to lose to UAA.

Weren't they up like 20? Undisciplined team that is an absolute train wreck of a program. Sorry to be blunt, but the truth hurts. And the bad thing is, I don't really have any sympathy for them. This team is going to be our anchor on Valley teams' schedules this year. :Yea!:

There was no video of the game, so we were at the mercy of the description of the radio guys. It "sounded" like it was actually a decently played game for us - in the first half. Shot we'll, 10 assists, good D. Then came halftime. Vermont is a crap 3 pt shooting team and shot 9-12 from 3 in the second half. Radio said our defense didn't seem as tight as the first half but that Vermont was making everything. Even banking in 3s.

Obviously a hugely disappointing loss. They lost flow on offense and couldn't play with a lead. Sadly though, this was about the best all around game of the year. Just couldn't overcome a team going ape s*** from 3 in the second half.

well, once again the Sycamores pull the same ol' same ol and follow up a GREAT win with a VERY BAD loss, it's been the same thing for the past 3 years, pathetic, and an embarrassment for the MVC. These guys appear to not be able to handle success, they just seem to think teams are gonna roll over for them and let them win. Well, after 3 years they obviously have not figured out that's not the case.

Lot's of bad things came from this loss, first and foremost, losing to a team that hadn't even won a game yet this year. Secondly, a win would have gotten ISU on national TV for 2 more appearances & good national exposure, so now we move to the consolation round and NO tv for either of the last 2 games. Third, all the positive press from the likes of mid majority, espn, etc.... just went out the window, all in one fell swoop, a single 3 point basket.

We'll see, once again, if ISU can rebound from this dreadful loss, or if it'll just be more of the same the rest of the season, good wins followed by more inexplicable losses. Most ISU fans on our message board think it will be the latter.

Following last year's script, when they didn't make the NCAA tournament, isn't a good thing.

Was definitely hoping to see more consistency from a more experienced ISUb team this year.

Tulsa lost a free throw battle on the road to MSU, hung tough with CU and WSU for a descent amount of time in both games. ORU loss...well that's just a bad loss and can't be seen in positive light. Overall though Tulsa ,despite their record, is a decent team and I expect them to pick up the pace win wise. I don't think this is as terrible as a loss as some are making it out to be. It does however reinforce the thought that ISUb is at times two very different teams.

If you want an at-large berth, this is a pretty terrible loss. If you are an Indiana State, with so little margin for error, this is a pretty terrible loss. They had already used up a fair amount of their margin on the Belmont game.

Yip. They were projected to be an at-large team, but that loss put them on the wrong side of the bubble. That is how close their margin is. Now they will need to win a game (or two) they are expected to lose and not lose any they expected to win.
