Too bad coach ran of Sawvell..... 2 loses because of that decision. Will the Aces hire phelps in the offseason?

Out coached again.

1) Cut the angle on the baseline inbounds - this is 3rd grade stuff!
2) Why was Blake in the game for the last 12 minutes?
3) What happened to the spread and drive that got the big lead (see Jaylon Brown 2x down the lane)
4) FT shooting
5) STOP DOUBLING THE POST EVERY TIME
6) Play 2 bigs at all times
7) If you are going to settle for 33 seconds of crap & throw up a bad shot, why didn't Ptacek see the floor?
8) Howard gives great minutes (it was plural right? - just checked nope singular) in the first half, doesn't get in in the second.

Great game by E again - I hope he continues to gain confidence.

UE couldn't hold on. It was no choke job. Foul trouble and missed FT's did them in.

So where do you think Xavier is going to finish in their conference? That was a hard game to watch because I wasn't impressed with either one.

Not holding on = choking.

Black, I do not know you, but I am going to call
you out: Any fan who uses your definition for ""choking" is either an ignorant college kid who is new to basketball or a jerk. Which are you?

I think a combination of the two. His only contribution to this board is to belittle either other posters, or other Valley teams. A real 0.

Aces fans that pretend to know what is best for the team when they watch 40 minutes of basketball kill me. Especially when you watch a game on tv and can't even see the entire game to know what is going on.

I would like to follow your coaching career. Please inform us when you will be coaching your next game? Or when you apply for a coaching job?

Tired of some Aces fans. Blame the coach, when most couldn't coach a grade school team. And when they lose its the end of the world and win they win everything is turned around and going to be great. Most don't understand the ups and downs of a season. It is a long road, never get to high and never get to low.

Xavier loked like a bottom feeder in the Big East and still found a way to beat us. Mock played well but got by with several shoves in the back in the first half. It finally caught up with him late first half and all of the second. He has to learn how to rebound without shoving the other guy in the back. I'm not sure the Aces played all that well for the first 35 minutes or if it was just how poorly Xavier was playing. I don't know how anyone can question Sawvell leaving after seeing just how bad junior is. That kid looks like he is running in cement with no basketball talent.

Great game by the Aces Led by 13 points midway thru the second half only to run out of steam in the end Ballentine led the Aces in point production but missed shots he would normally make. Fouls were disportional in the second half. Xavier got in the bonus @ the 7 minute mark the Aces got to the 1-1 with less than 3 minutes in the game When the zebras put the Ace's Point Guard and Center on the bench the Musketeers made their come back.

Thought that even with the loss, the Aces made great strides on the road. We'll see what carries over when the Aces go to Drake to open Conference play.

Jackson State(Sat)and Butler(Wed) visits the Ford Center the next 8 days.

The Aces have lost two games on the road that were one possession games, in the early part of the season. We have Freshmen playing prominent roles and no seniors on the floor. This means that during MVC play we are going to win 2-3 one possession games, on the road, against teams that are equal or better than us. You can mark this post and bring it up later ;)
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

You may be right.

I am just tired of MVC teams waiting for league play before they start winning those games.
