Some may not agree with this...but I think K Smith could be a pro prospect if he continues to develop as well as he has thus far. Definitely THE most underrated player in the Valley IMO. Great scorer and incredible athlete. Will need to make a big impact on Sat if the Sycamores want to have a chance to grab a win in Wichita.

Disgree with which part? Lansing has already said it, it was earlier in the year about the Pacers (Odum and Arop) and one of the basketball analyst was sitting with the scout who was at the Notre dame game and tweeted what the scout said and about how he was impressed (Gant and K. Smith) Wouldnt make it up. But I agree he is underrated for sure.

I'm really hoping for a win but trying to be realistic and hoping for a close competitive basketball game with some good national exposure for the Valley...I think the Syc's have a much better chance at sneaking a win in the Hulman Center as opposed to this one at Koch but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Go Trees!

Enviroment not a prolblem...we won their last year. Only player that hasnt been there is Moore.

Sounds like an easy game for the Sycamores. I hope we can keep it close.

I wouldnt call it easy for neither teams. It's gonna come down to defense, rebounding, and turnovers.

We lead the Valley in all 3 pretty much I believe.

So if what you say is true...I like our chances! Go Shox!

I agree we probably won't put the aggressive hard press on a ton. Mostly out of respect for Odum and his skills. He could burn us if we go with it too much. I would guess Marshall will use the hard press strategically and try to change defenses to keep the good offense of Indiana St off kilter as much as possible.

Just to clarify....what I meant was...some people on this board may disagree with my comment about K Smith being a pro prospect. I wasn't aware of the comments from the scout about him from earlier in the season, although that is great to hear. Hopefully he continues to develop like he has been.

Just because we won there last year doesn't mean it won't be a difficult atmosphere to play in. Koch is one of the most difficult environments in all of college basketball to play in...and the Sycamores are arguably the best team the Shockers will play all season at home so one would imagine the crowd will be pretty loud. Just gotta stick to our game plan an play tough...

I'm not on here enough to know if this is in jest or not, but I sure hope it is. No ISU fan should be confident about this game. I'm never confident about the Sycs playing on the road.

hypothetically (because it's not likely to happen) IF ISU wins, how far does WSU drop in the rankings??

I dont doubt that but the way I read your post is that you were saying the Sycamores would be rattled or at least that's how I took it. And I was saying that we played their last year and won with the same core group. Hence why I was basically saying we will be fine compared to like newcomer Loyola or the new roster of Ill st or the young aces who havent played there.
