Why did Muller vote for his team last year, but not this year?
Shows a complete lack of confidence is this years team, does it not? I mean. Last year his players were good enough to get his vote, but not this year?
2 of his top 3 players from last year are no longer with the program.

I have linked to my predictions below. Admission: I was able to copy and paste most of the first paragraph, but that's what is expected when Wichita State returns as a heavy favorite with the 2 best players in the league. Evansville *should* finish second as they return everyone and add Willie Wiley, so I gave them the edge over Illinois State who might have been second if Reggie Lynch had remained in Normal. I like Loyola to jump into the Top 4 and see a Seth Tuttle-less UNI sliding down a couple of spots this season.
Indiana State and Drake begin the next five, but I wouldn't be surprised to see either jump into the Top 4. For Anthony Beane Jr's sake, I wish I could give a more favorable outlook to the Salukis, but a Thursday night in STL looks forthcoming. Missouri State and Bradley bring up the rear as I expect very long seasons for each.

My 1-10 finish:
Wichita St
Evansville
Illinois State
Loyola
UNI
Indiana State
Drake
SIU
Missouri State
Bradley

Not complaining just pointing out there's no love for the Bears anywhere.

Those 3 top players still made it not even remotely close. So, was he just really wrong last year? Or will they finish more than 6 games back this year? Or is he mostly just full of it?

I sure hope not.
He's mostly full of it.

I think that melds well with the very athletic roster that is lacking in skill in a few places (not unskilled, just that the athleticism is a greater advantage than the skills at some positions).

Fair enough!
Curious to see how the Redbirds play this year. Sounding like a little uptempo with more pressure defense. I think that melds well with the very athletic roster that is lacking in skill in a few places (not unskilled, just that the athleticism is a greater advantage than the skills at some positions). If that is the way they go, it is a little interesting that this will be basically the 3rd radical shift in style of play in 3 years.
