I'm thinking four losses yesterday would shift this around a bit. :buddies: Shift it lower, that is.

just a little

0 - 5.6%
1 - 23.4%
2 - 36.0%
3 - 25.7%
4 - 8.4%
5 - 0.9%

Avg is down from 3.6 wins to 2.1 wins.

Mainly the reason the 0 wins did not significanly increase is because these 4 teams that have played were the longer shots to win anyway. If the MVC could have picked up 1 or 2 wins it would have been a indication that the MVC was underated. But clearly they weren't and the 4 teams from yesterday sucked as expected and performed as expected.

If the Shox can win they set themselves up well for an at large should they need it. If they lose, the rest of the MVC won't help them come selection time.

Go get em Shox.

UNI picks up first win for Valley in the challenge, 64-60 at TCU.

Ahelegbe leads UNI with 25 points, Johnny Moran 10, O'Rear and James 9 each, Koch with 8. Only 3 off the bench from Sonnen, but with Dunham out, James is starting. Poor FT shooting kept this from being a bigger margin as UNI only made 12-20 in the second half. Defense again comes up big holding the Horned Frogs 18 points below their previous home low and 14 points below their average.

Nice win for UNI and the MVC.

Johnny Moran had 10 points for the Panthers (4-2) and Jake Koch finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

Garlon Green scored 14 point to lead the Horned Frogs (6-3), who fell to 5-1 at home. Sammy Yeager added 13 points and Nikola Gacesa had 12.

Neither team led by more than eight, and the game featured nine ties and 10 lead changes. Koch broke the final tie with a layup that put Northern Iowa up 58-56 with 3:06 to play. He then added two free throws, and a foul shot from Johnny Moran with 1:45 remaining capped a 5-0 run by the Panthers.
