Right? I mean, I get giving it time. And I get being a fan and being supportive even if the numbers aren't quite there yet. But in year 4 you should be able to start getting a very accurate reading on what you've got. Still a lot of season left, so it will be interesting to see which way the scales end up tipping.

It's impossible to get a read on the long-term future when the revolving door of talent continues to spin.

I don't think that the talent level (athletic ability at least) is real low but the basketball IQ is not good. I'm not sure if it is bad coaching or not but turnovers have always been high under Muller.

I understand your point, I just think it's incorrect. It's called a difference of opinion, which happens from time to time. Look it up, along with the usage of the word "hence".

For now I will laugh at your hypocrisy (more on that later), and continue to cheer on a better Birds team than you think the box scores are showing.

If it's all just a difference opinion, then there is no need to get all teary-eyed about it.

And apparently, there are some other Redbird fans that also have issues with the coaching. So laugh it up.

You should also check out the usage of the word "cap".

A couple of general statements here:

1. Although I hate Championz "I'm better than you because my team has been better" approach, I do like the general rivalry that WSU and ISUr have had over the past 3-4 years. When Wichita became good again, the rivalry began, which is a testament to ISUr, as they always seem to pose a challenge to WSU's elite status in the Valley. If ISUr were someone like Drake, then no rivalry would exist due to the differences in talent/records/ability.

2. Dan Muller does not get the best out of his teams on a CONSISTENT BASIS. Consistency is always his teams issue and playing up to their talent level. Remember Jackie Carmichael and Tyler Brown's Senior year, they started 0-6 in the Valley....Are you kidding me!??

3. Dan Muller needs to hire someone to show him how to dress (baggy dress pants!?)

4. Muller is a good recruiter, but his ability to get optimal results from his players is lacking (think Ron Zook with University of Illinois Football). The loss of Torrey Ward (RIP) may have hurt him in this regard. He needs elite assistants and needs to be able to hang onto them for a few years.

5. ISUr continues to have player turnover that is partially (yes partially) preventing them from making the NCAA's. Two times now where they were on the cusp....lose Nic Moore to SMU and now Reggie Lynch to Minnesota.

6. End of the day, iSUr fans make excuses for Dan Muller due to his success as a player. He is a good recruiter, he is getting better with in-game planning....HOWEVER, I knew that 2nd half vs Kentucky the first 5 minutes was going to determine that game....ISUr was not prepared and went down double digits quickly. A sign of poor coaching and preparing his players.

He needs elite assistants to help him out, as he has good talent with poor basketball IQ (a reflection of the head coach).

But if you still have a revolving door of talent in year 4, doesn't that give you a pretty accurate reading of what things will be like under this coach? It's not longer him running players off that he didn't recruit. Clearly player retention is an issue.

What? This is exactly why you wear out your welcome with most fans. Not once was anyone "teary-eyed" and this type of communication on a message board is ridiculous. Can't you have a normal conversation? Is it possible for you?

You're right. And they're certainly welcome to their opinion. It's not one I share, and I have the same rebuttals for my fellow Redbird faithful. The majority of the time we do so in a pretty civilized manner however, as opposed to your ridiculousness on this board. It is possible to disagree and still laugh, drink a beer, and even be wearing hats from rival schools. Used to love to do that with the Shocker faithful. Guys like you made me want to avoid the fan base now. Sad.

You're proving my point with your continual posts with me. You're taking things way too seriously. It's an internet conference message board, not a tea party with your grandmother. Sack it up or ship back out.

Wait, you're saying the Redbird board is civilized and not ridiculous? Are we both viewing the same redbirdfan.net? I think you're stretching the truth a bit with that one.

I cannot believe an internet poster is affecting your every day life. That is beyond sad. You need to have your fanbase look at itself in the mirror. I don't need any lectures here from you.

Called out? You mean by Muller?

Taking things too seriously, or not letting a virus spread any longer... I'll let you figure that one out. Others may get quiet when you're chirping, but I wont anymore. You bring absolutely nothing of substance to the table as evidenced by your last 100 or so posts. Go back and look through them. You're a terrible poster that adds nothing to this message board at all. I, as others do, come one here to actually be able to communicate with those who have other perspectives from other schools. It's enjoyable. Until we read your garbage. You've even been called out recently by fans of other schools because you're just too much. Wish the mods would step in on you, but they wont so I will. As far as sacking up, I'm right here.

I think your reading comprehension needs work young man. I said I have the ability to have rational, logical conversations on that board with others, unlike what you can provide. Is everyone sane over there? Heavens no. Show me a message board where everyone is and I'll give you a million dollars.

I'll sit back and wait for your insulting comeback because that's all you can provide. No logic, no reason, just "internet muscles". Provide some value and I'll communicate further.
