Well that is no fun. I actually had to think about the MSU/UNI, CU/ISU, and BU/ISU games. I could see those being close games and going either way...

MSU/UNI is the only one I really hesitated at all on. UNI is playing pretty well lately and are at home.

I think BU has issues considering everyone they've lost this season to injury. On the road isn't going to be a nice place for them this year.

ISUr is going to struggle. I like the 'Birds and their fans, but I'm not sure they have enough this year. Young talent isn't going to be ready for CU.

At least that's how I saw those games.

My reasoning behind the ISUb/BU game was simply the are both terrible teams. Nothing more, nothing less. Edge to the home team

ISUr's two loses at home were to teams that were Dancing last year and CU has yet to win on the road. I do agree with CU having the superior talent but it is tough to win on the road in the Valley.

Now that the Valley season has started, I'm going to jump in and make some picks.

First game out I'm picking all home winners:

The Trees tomahawk the Braves in Terre Haute
The Shocks trump the Aces in Wichita
The Cats claw the Bears in Cedar Falls
The Birds fly past the Jays in Normal
The Bulldogs dog the Salukis in Des Moines

It should be a fun and ULTRA-competitive MVC season....YES!!

Looking forward to seeing all the teams play. There's plenty of youth being served this season in the Valley of Death, and IMHO I think that'll make for some fantastic games and really put the MVC in great shape in the future.

LOVE this time of the season as the MVC bloodbath begins. COOL!
