Solid night for the Valley last night. I did not think this would be a good week for Valley teams, but taking 2 of 3 last night was a good start. Solid win for Drake, and a dominating road win for SIU. Loyola lost a lot from last year, so may take a while for them to gel and get everyone settled into their new roles.

Great win Aces! This was a big win for the MVC's fortunes in the challenge. Unfortunately Bradley gave up a very surprising and uncharacteristic 85 points to IUPUI. Illinois State not looking good against BYU. Hopefully the teams playing their challenge games take care of business or it won't be a very good night for the MVC. I think the MVC is really looking like a one bid league this year which feels like a wasted opportunity.

Not really a big surprise. The last time the Valley had multiple teams get in not named Wichita State or Creighton was in 2006.

Nice win by the Aces. Finally got the monkey off our back with a win in the MWC Challenge. The Aces are at a disadvantage physically, but they will fight you to the end. They will be a tough out at the Ford, but will be challenged to win on the road.

ISU extinguishes a 14-pt deficit to force OT. Few too many possessions down the stretch in the hands of an Evans or Gassman or Jefferson and not a Fayne or Yarbrough. Redbirds lucky that didn’t bite them.
