I defended Lottich the last time you brought this up but it's getting harder to do so each time we underperform\ lay an egg like we did last night. Even with the conference transition it's tough to defend his record because it includes such bad losses. Lottich needs to turn it around quickly.

Agreed. Waiting for them to turn it around here and just not seeing it. Which is unfortunate. The Valley needs Valpo to be good again.

The biggest issue is they've performed poorly against the Valley's worst non-con schedule too.

We have suffered through several bad coaches. They rarely get better. He stepped into a good situation, with good players, and the team has underperformed. This is like Mark Phelps at Drake. The problem is, players usually figure it out, start transferring, and then that kills recruiting. Hopefully somebody at Valpo won't let this continue if he is inept. I was really looking for Valpo to be a strong program.

I hope we will be that strong program soon and I really thought we were more ready for this than we've shown. It appears that we still have plenty of work left to do.

Goodness gracious MVC. First two games of the night were bad. North Texas is a good team but the Sycs never really challenged them in Terre Haute. UIC would win the Valley it seems.

Bears are a completely different team at home than on the road.

Up by 10 over WKU with 5:20 left

De Silva with 16 and 6 so far

Great stuff from SIU and MSU tonight! Those are great wins to make it an ok night for the MVC. Hopefully Loyola can rally and take out Ball State! Don't count the Salukis out yet they still have Murray State and Buffalo to bolster their resume. If they can win those games and show well in conference they might have a shot. The opportunity is still there for Loyola I think if they can come back and win tonight. Go MVC!

Stupid technical made it closer than it needed to be but Bears hold on to get a solid win and end the losing streak.

Jared Ridder now eligible and HCDF has 10 days to incorporate him into everything.

Big things await the Bears. Still feel good about this year.

Both ISU's stunk it up tonight, the ISU game in Terre Haute was especially troubling as we were completely out of if from the tip. Before we knew it, it was 10-0 and unlike Bradley last night, we never seemed interested in the game. Late we'd cut the lead to 5, but that was short lived, and lost by 11

Loyola down to four guards now with Skokna out as well as Williamson, like ISUr only 8 available to play. Total we only have 5 available ball handlers and 4 of them (2 freshman) start and have to be on the court at the same time with the system in place. Could be this years SIU if anyone else goes down.

Frustrating because we've been in every game we've played (Nevada may be the exception, but they fought the full 40) but they're just missing wide open shots.
