It was the absolute opposite of the game in Terre Haute when Valpo never showed up and the crunchtime execution was the exact opposite of the game at the ARC. Valpo finished the job today and that's not something I've been able to say very often this year. The team I saw today can beat anybody provided they shoot a bit better from outside but this level of performance from Valpo has been rare this year. I'm excited for tomorrow!

Two years left at a ridiculously low $219K with rumors they can't afford to buy him out. Frankly, why buy him out if you're only going to pay $200K. He's about the best you're going to get with that number

A win is a win, but Illinois State looked like some major league trash last night. Don't tell me about rotations and trying conserve guys. No shot at the Aces, because towards the end of the game, they hit some shots, but I think that was a pretty uninspired performance from Illinois State. I hope they pull it together tonight, because if they play like that against Drake, they aren't sniffing Saturday. Go Birds

I have to say it was refreshing having solid ref crews last night. The more basketball I watch, the more I notice the difference in the way games are called between the veteran crews last night and some of the conference games. People like to complain about Pollard and Higgins but I thought they did a really nice job. You had Evansville players trying to draw charges all night and the refs rarely bit. They let the players play.
