Preseason Poll & All-Conference Teams Announced

Well there's going to be 16 spots for 3 teams. 1st team is 6 spots and then the other 2 teams will be 5 spots each. I think 1st team is pretty much locked. It's the 2nd and 3rd Teams that will be interesting. I'm a try to take a crack at it if it ended today and some of it is guessing.

1st Team - Stirtz, Deen, Anderson, Pierre, Teel, Walker
2nd Team - Whitt, Comer, Kizinger, Dibba, Hannah
3rd Team (Just pick 5) - Wood, Daughtry, Schwieger, Jackson, Campbell, Lundblade, Davis Jr, Montgomery

POY and NOY - Stirtz
DOY - I'm going to guess Turnbull since he leads in blocks. There's nobody that is leading in blocks and steals like Leons did for Bradley the past seasons.
6OY - Daughtry (INSU)
FOY - Wright (Valpo)

All-Newcomer - Stirtz, Teel, Pierre, Whitt, Comer, Dibba, Lundblade, Mascari
All Defense - Turrnbull, Ferguson, Stirtz, Dibba, Hannah, Jackson (DU)
All Bench - Daughtry (INSU), Henderson (UIC), Daugherty (ILST), Banks (DU), Applewhite (MURR)
All Freshman - Wright (Valpo), Pozzato (UE), King (MO ST), Daugherty (ILST), Johnson (BU)
Most Improved - Walker (ILST), Daughtry (INSU), Kizinger (ILST), Campbell (UNI), Couldn't figure out a 5th spot

Will Hornseth isn't going to be FOY because he simply doesn't get enough minutes but he's the best freshman in the league. Shooting 68% and playing really good defense for a 19 year old kid.

The Freshman awards are always interesting. The guys who put up the best numbers are usually on teams that aren’t as good so those guys get a lot more run and usage. Does it mean they are better than a freshman playing 12 minutes a game on a title contending team? Who knows.

As it relates to Bradley - I don’t know what honors Jaquon “Bully” Johnson will win - but that dude is always on the floor at the end of games. That tells me a lot about how he is seen by the coaching staff.

I’ve been really impressed with Johnson and Hornseth. Johnson plays older than he is and Hornseth has some really good touch and footwork. If BU and UNI can keep them both, that will be big moving forward

Christian Davis absolutely belongs on All-Defensive team. He is Bradley's best on-ball defender and usually gets the team's best offensive player. In Stirtz's 77 minutes played with mostly CD guarding him, he has only made 3 field goals.

If you don't want two Bradley guys on the All-Defensive team, I'd have him in over Hannah.

No doubt. Hannah isn't a first team defender - Davis is.

Agreed. High School kids are going to have to prove they can exceed a solid first year.

Transfers in are a whole different animal but I think most schools should feel pretty good about keeping high school kids for two year minimum.
