Valpo 6 turnovers and 21/24 from the line. Not beating themselves is a new thing. Lets see if it continues...

In a tie game, UE Coach sits one of the team's best 3 guards, for the last 15 minutes of the game. On a team that is thin at the guard position, this was a terrible move.

Bradley takes care of business against Missouri State.

Credit Missouri State, they play hard nosed defense and made Bradley uncomfortable most of the night. Cuonzo has them playing hard, they are just offensively challenged. Their gameplan was to slow it down and grind out possessions. They aren't going to blow anyone out of the gym, but they're gonna win some close games against teams who can't adapt to their physical style.

Christian Davis and Darius Hannah stepped up big time in the paint when the 3 wasn't really going down for Bradley.

Glad I bought a ticket to watch player disciplining.

What could Hafner have done to warrant being benched in a winnable conference game like that? Certainly would have liked to seen him step to the free throw line instead of most of the others in the 2nd half.

For as awful as the non-con was, the Aces are a couple of bad decisions away from being 4-0 in the conference. Is the talent better than the ability of Ragland to manage it?

Haffner has only shot 18 free throws in 15 games so that scenario would be highly unlikely.

Last year, it was Chuck sitting and Gage playing. He played a walk-on over a 4-star. I'm all for what Bobe accomplished at UE from initially being a walk-on, but taking Chuck out every time he made a mistake probably contributed to Chuck leaving. UE is desperate for MVC-level guards this year. They could use him.

You have to let your star players make mistakes and be able to redeem themselves in the same game.

I am sure every UE fan would prefer Haffner playing the final 15 minutes than any other guard on the bench regardless of how many free throws he attempted.

I don't disagree, but his free throw attempts and percentage made (11=18) would not be the reason to put him back in.

Steve Prohm put on a coaching clinic.

Totally outcoached McCollum, who put his team at a disadvantage with a technical foul with the ball.

I've never heard of Prohm being referred to as a coaching guru. More likely they won in spite of him. His last Iowa State team won 2 games.

Do you have any idea what he technical was for?
