Apparently Aces Aces was neither at the game nor watched it. Haffner tried retrieving a loose ball at half court to start a fast break, lost his legs, slid across the floor losing the ball, and eventually a foul was committed by a teammate diving into a scrum for the loose ball. Haffner was very upset with himself for not controlling the ball and reacted by pounding the floor. He came out of the game with no interaction with Coach Ragland and sat on the bench.

Any one who has seen Ragland coach knows he is very mild mannered. He will sometimes coach up a player as they come to the bench, but usually gives a fist bump and a congrats.

Nothing there there.

Actually there was an interaction between the player and the coach. It was heated. You didn't see it? Maybe you were watching the play on the court and not the bench. You actually think Haffner sat out 3/4 of the 2nd half because he was mad at himself for not being able to secure that loose ball? LOL.

I live in reality. The player was wrong for talking back to the coach. The coach was wrong for benching the player for the last 3/4 of the second half as the team is thin at the guard position right now and it possible cost the team what would have been a great MVC home victory against a team the Aces have only beaten once in the last several years. I see the bigger picture. You don't. You only see what you think makes you feel good about it.

The home team reports the attendance number.

What do you mean it worked? They lost the Indiana State game primarily because Haffner was on the bench for the last 3/4 of the second half. Haffner is already having a much better year than last year.

From what I understand, they got into a heated disagreement on the bench. Of course, as a player, you cannot spout back at your coach, but when your team only has 3 MVC- ready guards, you need to let things slide during the game in order to secure the win. You can make them run laps for the next 2 weeks instead of banning him from the last 3/4 of the second half in a key MVC game.

Try to keep up. The Aces just beat ISU by 18.

You’ve never coached a day in your life. Give it a rest.

They beat Illinois State not Indiana State. They lost to Indiana State at home. A big part of that loss was they played without their starting guard for 3/4 of the 2nd half. The coach benched the player for personal reasons. That's not good.

I’m from Illinois. Illinois State University = ISU

You have never coached a day in your life. You have no idea what went on behind the scenes. Neither do I, but from a coaching perspective, sometimes you have to make a point, and it clearly was made and returned dividends in the next game.

Whatever your issue is with the program- I promise you - NO ONE CARES about your opinion.

The Administration hamstrung us for a long time and it is making everyone who ever gave a rip bat*hit crazy.

(The Administration was upset that a bunch of nerds weren’t getting the spotlight they thought they deserved so they decided to “knock the jocks down a peg” for about 2 decades.

Evansville was on track to be Gonzaga before Gonzaga, but the Plane crash and a bunch of low testosterone cucks ruined it (it still could have been if they would have supported in in the early 90’s) It’s making us all pull out our hair.

It doesn't matter if I have coached or not. You don't know what I have done or not done.

Yes, I know what went on and I know that Haffner didn't play for the last 15 minutes because of it. Pretty simple.

Yes, coaches have to make points to players but trying to make one during a crucial game didn't work well for the team. That same point can be made in many many other ways than losing a key game.

I don't care if you care about my opinion. Not one bit. You seem hurt and triggered that a person has dared to report on what he sees. That's your problem not mine.

The home team reports the attendance number.

Valpo only reports online ticket sales. They do not report will calls and student tickets as that is still done with the old system which was updated earlier this year. With Valpos older fan base, there is a major preference for will calls on tickets and it actually creates a major issue with logjams at the front entrance. The attendance looked to be similar to the UNI game with more students in the west bleachers than genpop in the mezzanine
