Did I read correctly that Evansville scored on 28 of 31 possessions in the 2nd half? That’s insane…

Yes, after an 11+ minute drought in the first half without a basket. Luckily, the defense kept Murray from pulling away during that stretch.
Horrific officiating as well. Honestly, probably the worst called game I have seen in quite some time. Jeff Malham is not a MVC or even D-1 level ref.

Luckily, nights like that have been an outlier this year. John Higgins is absolutely killing it as the assignor. We're even pulling some bigger names on Saturdays right now and mid-weeks have been full of the elite tier of guys (Kissinger, Padilla, Sirmons, Pettigrew, McCall, Greenstein, Wells, Walton, Moore) and a couple that haven't gotten any better (Pfeiffer, Bonner, Kimball) all left for the Big Ten/MW consortium. It's been a noticeable and welcome change.
I just miss Gerry Pollard.

I'm still amazed the guy who got banned from a Nebraska school district for banging one of his high school students just after she graduated is in a public-facing position and well-respected in the officiating community, but I guess he's a pretty good official.
Every Saluki home game I would shout “pull your pants up Pollard!”, which he was constantly doing. He is a real narcissist.BCPanther wrote:E-Villan wrote:Redbird82 wrote:ISU gets a good win against a red hot Belmont team.
