Watching Bloomburg Business Channel and they were reporting that Steph Currey has taken an active administrative role in Davidson NIL fundraising so that a school of that size can try to compete for players. Sounded like there might be a NIL cap of 20 million but not sure on this. Interesting stuff and I'm sure we will hear more.

This is a tough problem teams like Valpo and Evansville face.

They haven't been winning. They have a LOT of playing time to offer freshmen. There are better freshmen out there these days then the past. Someone then has to play the minutes and score the points for bad teams. Often times those guys are freshmen. Then they have numbers to showcase themselves in the portal.

Round and round we go.

Powell and Ragland are really good at player development. They would've done really well if this was 5 years ago.

There's going to be a revenue sharing cap of approximately $20M for Power League athletic departments.

They say they're going to regulate NIL but that will get struck down the minute it hits the courts. We're going to have Big Ten and SEC quarterbacks making 8 figures pretty easily.

Yea, I can’t see anything regulating NIL making it through the courts at this point.

Evansville has now lost Haffner, Comer and Pozatto. Most of its scoring. Let's keep in mind that the team only won 11 games out of 32. It went 3-8 in non-con losing by 37 at Ball State, 24 at UTA, Chattanooga at home, Radford at home.

You don't want to lose players but this was not a very good team. There were a lot of problems with each of these players. Inefficient, inconsistent, selfish.

If you are feeling down because your team is losing players to the portal, keep in mind, a guy playing D2 last year led his team to a 30-3 record this year, a MVC title, a MVC tourney title, the NCAA tourney and just made All American.

If this can happen to Bennett Stirtz and Drake, it can happen to your team.
