This ref that is on the baseline when Drake is on offense has it out for Weems, I think. Two questionable foul calls on him the last few minutes...

I hate the Knapp center. The Bears NEVER play well there. Glad we escaped with a win (especially the way they were bombing away and making 3's tonight).

So MSU has won by 1 point, 1 point, and 3 points in its last 3 games, 1 of them against a Thursday nighter. Is it luck? Is it just a good team willing their way to victory, or is MSU starting to wear down a little?

Drake beats ANY OTHER TEAM in the Valley if they shoot like that. WSU loses, UNI loses, everyone else goes down. But not MSU. Great teams find ways to win road games when it's the game of the season for the home team. Yet another statement win for the Bears.

The conference tournament could be quite interesting this year.

I'm not sure of that answer but they were absolutely raining hugely contested 3 tonight that they would not normally ever make. If we only beat Drake by 3 at home then get back to me on that. We might be a little tired also since we used up so much energy Saturday and then had to travel and play again on a Tuesday but any team would be.

It's entirely possible they are wearing down a little. It's also possible that winning on the road in the Valley is just really tough.

The Bears are going to struggle some against teams that spread you out, attack the bucket, and can also shoot lights out from three. In this league, that is Drake and Indiana State. They have struggled with both of those teams shooting ridiculous from three, but some of that is them being open as well.

It will be interesting to see how we fare against UNI Sunday night with a little bit of rest. Either way, a win is a win, and don't forget, coming into this year, the Bears had at least two game losing streaks on the road to every team in the league but Evansville. Meaning it had been at least three years since we'd won at any of these places.

It's hard to win road games, and I'll take it by any number as long as we're ahead at the end.
