This is nothing but poppycock! Sure, Marshall's agent might be lobbying him for the job (they do this all the time to put more money into their pockets); however I'll guarantee you coach Marshall isn't out “openly” lobbying for the Tennessee job. How do I know this? Trust me, I just do. ;)

If offered, would Marshall consider the Tennessee job? Heck yes, he’d be a fool not to interview and give it serious consideration. Again, it’s more likely his agent has thrown his name out for consideration to test the waters. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, that’s the job of a sports agent. Many of them are greedy and cold blooded sob’s… they have no loyalties to the institution where their client is currently coaching.

If his agent is soliciting for jobs without his client's permission, he is committing malpractice and would lose his ability to act as an agent for others in the future.

Rest assured of one thing: if Marshall's agent is trying to get him the Tennessee job, Marshall both knows about it and has given his blessing.

Who said his agent was 'testing the waters' without his permission?
The point being Marshall isn't out "openly lobbying" for the Tennessee job. He's trying to win a championship and make the NCAA tournament. If those 2 things occur, he might have a chance at the Tennessee job (provided he's interested in it) if and when it becomes available. I'm not worried.

This thread could be the best indicator of what kind of season the SH0X are having. Thanks for the props BJ's!

It would appear the shocker posters are having the hardest time forgetting the habits of the old board. Since Greg is getting looks it proves that WSU is getting better but Greg isn't looking because I know he isn't looking and you suck for even suggesting he is even though since his agent that he does not talk to is looking for him proves we are improving and everyone in Omaha listens to Matt so you all suck for that too. That about sum it up?

blueblood, I would just like one viable source and link to where the thread topic is true. As it is now, it just comes off as some rumor that DJA started up to get a rise out of WSU fans.

A ramble by a sports guy in an online chat is not what I would call viable or concrete.

I don't have any or know of a link and I doubt there is one since it was an OWH chat. Pivovar and Matt do not see eye to eye so no reason to make any connection there. You will have to address DJA making it up with him. It sounds perfectly logical. WSU is having a good year so its coach has his agent look into jobs. I'm not sure why that is so offensive.

Possible the dumbest post to date...and imagine from a WSU fan.

I could care less if Gregggg stays or goes. Decent coach but buy no means will ever be considered a top tier one. And honestly, I hope WSU stays in the top 4 of the Valley with us year in and year out, makes the games with you guys fun. And this message board interesting. :duel:

I just would appreciate some punctuation!

And for the record, my posting was complete bullocks. I just did it to get a rise out of the WSU fans, just like I suppose they do when they use EU to indicate the University of Evansville. UE has been in the league for 15 years, figure it out.

!@#$%^&*()+

There you go.

I looked at what chats are still available on the OWH site. This is all I could find.

As a Tennessee fan, I respectfully ask Greaseball Gregggggggggg, stay away from Knoxville. I don't think.....no I know I can't root for the Vols if you are the head coach. We've had our share of nutjobs, but you take the cake.

Jane Palmer: The grapevine says Gregg is working behind the scenes to get his name into the mix in Knoxville. Having been to Knoxville, I think Gregg would fit it well there.

That is all I could find. I am not sure if this is the right chat or who Jane Palmer is but I tried. Note: I did not participate in the chat so don't shoot the messenger.
