WSU is what it is - mediocre like it's conference.

As I watch WSU play this year, I always question how have the managed to lose as many games as they have. They seem very athletic, very deep and have plenty of size in the paint. My personal opinion is that they are the most talented team in the conference (MSU is close, but I give the nod to WSU because of their greater depth).

Early in the year, I commented that I thought they were a bit undisciplined and/or poorly coached, only to be routinely ridiculed for that comment. I still stick by it though and believe that WSU does more to hurt itself than the teams that have beaten them do. They foul a lot on defense and make a lot of decisions that leave you scratching your head. They seem to struggle against Very disciplined teams.

In a lot of ways, this year's Shocker team reminds me of the Creighton team in 2009 - very talented, but not mentally strong. Could this similarity be due to a high number of JUCOs on each squad?

I agree with most of this post, but the JUCO comment is off. We only have 2 JUCOs (3 if you count Ehimen,) not to mention the 2 JUCOs are the most disciplined players on the team.

As usual, a Creighton fan has the goods on WSU. Undisciplined, yes. Just look at their road record where teamwork and toughness are tested to the max.

Thot Shocks lost due as much to lack of discipline as anything else. Anybody beeching about the last foul call on WSU has nothing to beech about......Kyles was not fouled on the 3 pt shot that he got freebies for. If anyone had a reason to come unglued, it was VCU at that point.

I believe marshal sold wsu soul for for juco talent trying to get quick success and a bcs job. I'm afraid the abyss may not be to far away.
