Iowa's McCaffery came out and said that many MM/LM players are being shopped on the market by agents before they ever enter the portal. May be a little shade to deflect all the attention towards potential pirating by the P6, but I found it an interesting statement given he has been involved with a couple MVC portal players and would know. We tend to think when we see quick signings that there was tampering from the signer, but perhaps the player was the instigator via a handler.

I don't agree with Francis on, well, pretty much anything but he's right here. It's the wild, wild west.

Francis is still a mid-major guy at heart (hell, he still recruits like one) and he sees what it's doing to this level and how it's affecting the P6. I have zero doubt that he's telling the truth here.

I read a column where Mack Brown lamented the NIL. Said he staid in coaching because he really likes mentoring and guiding young men. And for the crisp sum of $5/million a year.

Bradley added two players from the transfer portal today.

6-3 Guard Trey Pettigrew from Nevada and 6-8 Forward Kyle Thomas from EIU. Both guys will be sophomores and have three years of eligibility left. It wasn't an accident they visited campus together this weekend. They are long time friends and AAU teammates from the Chicago area.
