The first time I see it will probably be the same time as that player is pulled for not paying attention. Nor have I seen it in volleyball. Basketball, unlike those sports, is a fluid game. A team scores, the other team puts the ball in play and the clock does not stop. There is little time for celebration after a basket and those celebrations that occur during continuation are usually short and sweet. Play continues in basketball and the antics being discussed often happened during live play. The stuff that happened last year was beyond chest thumping. It was full-court antics. I have also said that the behavior was in line with the behavior and antics of the coach. Much of this may change with Cuonzo gone.

I have said it several times that I have no problem with celebration and I don't exactly know where to draw the line. But when celebration gets to the level of doing a "Superman" all the way down the floor during a live ball, yes, it's over the top. That said, if Missouri State fans are good with it, fine. They also get the pleasure of living with the reputation of supporting such behavior. Keep in mind that this fan mentality is akin to fans of a team that support cheap and dirty players. It's the same mentality as, "Maybe he's a thug, but he's our thug."

Then again, I was always a fan of the Hansen Brothers. So drawing the line is and can be difficult.

I'd love to be like them as a school.

WHY???

Just because, i don't know. They won. People hated them because they won. I wouldn't mind that for us. It wouldn't bother me if we were universally hated. If Weems bothers people so much then I suggest they take a good look at themselves in a mirror. He's just a kid out there having fun.

Like it or not, we all loved the Hanson Brothers.

There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

People don't hate Miami because they won, people hate Miami because of how they won. Cheating, cheap shots, popping the tops, team fights on the field, the whole thing. I loved it when LSU won the NC, I even liked it when Texas won theirs, I never liked USC. Not because they won, but how they went about it. Keep in mind, I'm no fan of Texas, but Mack Brown and Vince Young won their NC the right way.

I obviously did a poor job of making my point and now this will simply dissolve into a typical he said she said rendition of past ills. What I was trying to convey was people will see Kyle's behavior whichever way they want to, but either way it had nothing to do with the topic of this thread. You want to go back and debate that issue, start a thread about it. I doubt it impacts anybodys opinion but at least it won't have to derail a thread about an exhibition game. This place will dissolve quickly into VTII if every thread is an opportunity to dig up old mud instead of staying with the topic at hand. I apologize for my own role in this .

And baller you might note you used the phrase " blindly loyal" before I said insecure nut job, so don't play the innocent semantics game. I think if you also reread my original post that while I quoted you I was responding to the post by "red" as I referenced him by saying he was still crying about it a year later. But whatever.

I contributed to the sidetracking too. My bad. But it did spice up a thread about an exhibition game.

It totally is. I absolutely loved the U when I was younger. They represented everything I loved about football. They were so much bolder than the other powerhouses of that time. I envied there swagger for sure. When they showed up wearing camo gear at that bowl game. Gosh, I really loved it. But the thing is that they didn't care what the lily white fans thought. I'd love for our Bears to be the same. Minus the drug problems and rampant cheating.

I may or may not speak for many Missouri State fans when I post the rare, triple facepalm.

Wow, I sincerely feel pity for you. By any chance, did you eat paint chips when you were younger?

See that's the thing though - it wasn't just last year. I remember a CU-WSU game in Omaha his freshman year. CU had the game in hand and Weems, after making a nice play, stared down the CU bench and pointed as he ran back down court.
