I would like to think he would get consideration, he should be about ready to strike out on his own if that is his desire.

UNI will have a number of people to consider in addition to Jans and DeVries: PJ Hogan has been on the bench with Jake and McDermott, Kyle Green was the top assistant before leaving to take a lower level head coaching job this season, BJ Hill is a Cedar Falls native and led Northern Colorado to the NCAA Tourney last year, Nick Nurse is a head coach in the NBA-D League (and probably is more looking to get a shot at the NBA than college, but who knows), and others.

That said, I don't think Jake is leaving

Minnesota did lose again....

I think UNI won't have a hard time filling the job if it does open up. I'd hate to lose Devries, but understand completely if he wanted to be a HC (I just wish he would do it outside of the MVC if he makes that choice).

If Chris Hollender can stay out of trouble with the law I would think he might have a chance for a head coach spot. If Quincy opens up he could be good for them.

I think only 1 at SIU. The league is going to be very good next season.

Marshall will get some offers. It just depends if they are good enough to pry him away. The timing is probably right for him to leave since they lose a lot.

I could see Nebraska throwing a solid offer his way.

Why would he go to Nebraska? No way he goes somewhere he will have to rebuild, cold weather, and not close to home.

Why would anyone go anywhere. $$$

If he is going to have to rebuild anyways, might as well be at a BCS school where he will get paid more to do so.

He left his home, went to cold weather, and had to do some rebuilding at WSU. Who's to say he wouldn't do it again?

Because he hasn't to the point I believe that he won't have to go to a BCS school like Nebraska. Besides more money (which there budget is smaller than Creighton's for basketball), what can they provide that WSU can't? They are always going to be at least third in the pecking order behind football and spring football. I would go to South Carolina before Nebraska. Better weather and closer to home for him.
