Wasn't trying to get this into a UNIvsWSU argument.

How about we change my name to hailoursalukies. My question remains: If WSU is so dominant, they why don't they dominate?

What do you want man? WSU has had three really exciting years of basketball. We believe we could be on the verge of something better. Some thought Marshall would bolt first chance he got. When he didn't, many claimed it was because no one wanted him, but he would surely leave this year. He didn't. Some said it was because he is abrasive. Maybe he's got a good thing going in Wichita?

Someone mentioned the last three years and that is the data I ran. Do we need to go farther back?

There is no question that WSU has had the best collective regular season MVC record during the past three years. During that same period, they have won only one regular season title and no MVC Tournament titles. A good 3-year period, yes, but “dominant” is not the right adjective.

I think you are right, he has a good thing in that he's been able to successfully leverage "offers" from other schools to drive his salary way up, despite the fact that WSU's number of regular season championships and post season success has been fairly pedestrian.

How many teams from the Valley where in the top 50 RPI over those 3 years? This year, it was Creighton and WSU, so obviously in league WSU has only two chances to have top 50 wins.

11-12 - two MVC teams (WSU, CU)
10-11 - one (MSU)
09-10 - two (UNI, WSU)

If you eliminate top-50 wins against MVC teams over those three years the totals look like this:
UNI: 6
WSU: 1
UE: 1

I am convinced. The Panthers remind me of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Which team is the most dominate in the valley?

1. Criteria
2. Term

Probably the Panthers, but tell me why.
