Where does it say those two offered? The only offers I find listed for Lofton are Duquesne and UW-M.

Maybe they're mistaking offering with them having interest in the guy?

Per this article:
http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/colleg ... f887a.html

Lofton was being recruited by K-State and Baylor, but…

…he said. “A lot of schools were waiting to see if my grades were going to come out to officially offer me. I really didn’t want to wait. I just firmly committed to ISU.”

Mr. Lofton was expecting offers from some BCS programs, but they had not yet come.

So according to Lofton, Kansas State made him a non-"official" offer in the sense that it was on condition of his qualifying? But wasn't ISU's and every other offer "non-official" in the sense that they were conditioned on his qualifying anyway? And because of this bizarre semantics game or ISU's willingness to put up an immediate press release he went to ISU? Sounds confusing.

I've had ISU fans tell me Muller is a good recruiter, and the schools he's beating out on the trail is a good indication of that to me. But maybe he sees something others don't. Who knows.

According to Verbal Commits:
Bobby Hunter- Iona, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville
Mike Middlebrooks- None
Zach Lofton- Duquesne, UW-Milwaukee
Jamaal Samuel- None (UMKC according to local paper)
Paris Lee- Southern Illinois, Loyola (IL), UW-Green Bay, Western Michigan
Tony Wills- None
Reggie Lynch- Missouri St., Drake, La Salle, Northeastern

Status quo as far as offers are concerned. Teddy Hawkins, MiKyle McIntosh, and Justin Coleman (recent false alarm verbal) are all guys with lengthy lists of HM offers. Hopefully we can land one (or more). Currently have one scholarship available, but that will likely change.

6'1" Taishon Knight signs with Birds today. Had offers from SLU and Murray State I've read.

This upcoming year's team is set to have just one senior and is likely to be picked low in the preseason poll based on returners. In that way, this is starting to have some resemblance to 2011-12 for Illinois State. The Redbirds had no seniors on that season's team and was picked 8th in the preseason poll. But they ended up exceeding expectations, finishing it that big logjam tie for third place, advancing to the finals of Arch Madness, qualifying for the NIT and winning the first-round game in the tournament.

Who's the other one looking at ISU, UCLA and Miami? You said there were two.

Sorry, I had it but now I can't remember.

Some of the players that have committed to ISU that are listed on rivals don't have any mention of other schools and I don't believe that. I think that Rivals just isn't on it.

There's a lot of nonsense talk about the recruitment of ISU commits, but Mikyle McIntosh is the only player who has been reportedly talking to the likes of UCLA and Miami. But I did see that Lofton looks like he was TALKING to Baylor and K-state. Offers, I don't know. But it looks like it was because of grades.
