What am I suppose to admit here? We took 2 borderline kids and neither qualified? Sure, risks. I agree. I'm still happy with our newcomers. We got exactly who we wanted this spring, and neither NCAA ruling came as a shock to the coaching staff. McIntosh and Hawkins are both on campus with 4 years of eligibility. I'm OK with the 'long game' strategy as long as the strategy works out. I'm optimistic, patient and young. I'm willing to give Muller 3 more years and see where he steers this ship.
Of course you should give Muller time. I'm not suggesting otherwise. That said...he didn't take over a losing program. He took over one that had just been to the NIT. IMO, coaches taking over for winners get a different type of leash than those rebuilding a losing one.
