JE wasn't the best post player in the league. Heck, he wasn't even the best post player on his own team, which is why Koch won the MVC POY.

In order of importance, I'll rank the S16 team:

1) Kwadzo
2) Koch
3) Ali
4) JE
5) Moran

That's just part of it. Most of us (non UNI fans) have watched both Egleseder and Tuttle play many times and are therefore pretty knowledgeable about both players.

I agree I would take Egleseder every time. At least at this point in Tuttles career. Maybe he changes that in the next 2 years but maybe not.

Agreed. It's kind of weird watching UNI fans trash up one of their own.

I don't know how this preseason poll thread became a JE vs Tuttle argument but it is ridiculous. The same way it is ridiculous to argue that UNI has a shot at the NCAA tournament. We have pieces, and we could be pretty good. There are just too many question marks right now. We are going to be struggling on the inside. Tuttle is great. Chip always plays hard, but is undersized. Buss is skilled, but also just a rail. Friedman is very talented and has a big body, but he is a freshman. It will be a work in progress. I think the poll is about what I expected. I thought maybe MSU could be picked ahead of us, but overall nothing too shocking.

As for the Tuttle vs JE debate. You guys are comparing apples and oranges here. Two completely different styles of play. Two very very good players. I don't think a lot of Panther fans appreciate what Jordan did for us. He was big and skilled. He drew a lot of the attention away from Koch. They had to double him in the post which left Koch free to roam, and Jordan could get him the ball in post to post passing. I think Tuttle is very good, but I think Jordan is the obvious choice here. And clearly I am in the minority of Panther fans on this one.
