Why did you leave out the other two all freshman bigs.

On the bright side, I didn't know there were this many EU fans left.

Talk about a child like response after all your so called truths were refuted. Maybe if Marty found some gaurds that could keep their man from blowing by them Mock wouldn't pick up so many fouls helping out. It also might help if the gaurds would drop down and help him out once in a while. It's called help side defense and it requires everyone to help not just the bigs.

It might also help if you could spell guard. But you might be on to something, with Sawvell gone Mock won't have to guard two people. And now that you mention it, maybe Sawvell's defense in practice explains Blake's starts. With Blake lighting it up and dribble driving past Sawvell at will, it was only natural to think that Blake was a great player. Maybe it was an anomaly. We'll see soon. If Blake is shut down in practice now, his starts may disappear.

More childlike responses without any real basketball analysis. I highly doubt Blake was driving past anyone in practice with that speed. Mock wasn't picking up fouls on Sawvell's man because they didn't play at the same time.

Really? Jaylon Moore was usually Mock's sub. But if you are saying that Sawvell was Mock's sub, then what does Blake have to do with anything? And for that matter, Sawvell made the all-freshman team as a center. Doesn't that mean that it is actually Mock and Moore who were taking his minutes? Of the three of them, who is better? I think you need to slow down and think before you write down that "real basketball analysis."

Are you as entertained by UE basketball as Wichita State was last year?

Do you ever watch UE play? There are rarely over two 6'6" guys on the floor at the same time. You said Sawvell played out of position as a freshman and are now arguing that he is a true center. Why don't you make up your mind? Sawvell would make an excellent small forward. It's not against NCAA rules to play two or three guys over 6'6" at the same time. Maybe you should try thinking once in a while period.

New to this forum but I am a diehard Aces fan I have not given up on Marty because I think he is taking baby steps of improvement and if you look at his margin of defeat in Valley games the last 3 years it would support that assesment this year we will take some hits, but I feel next year this team of current players minus Sawvell will compete for the Valley title as far as Sawvell goes he didn't improve most guys get stronger, better at defense, develop shooting skills and quite frankly Sawvell did not show that, he would show flashes but no consistency the only consistency he showed was being inconsistent examples last year opening game Notre Dame 10 points 11 rebs 27 mins next game Buffalo 2 points 2 rebs 19 mins he has some good games then he disappears last year at WSU 20 mins 0 points 2 rebs not trying to beat a dead horse but here is the most glaring stat 6' 8" athletic big 1 thats right 1 block all of last year that tells me all I need to know no defense really I thinks his biggest problem is strength and weight( i have some he can have) wish him the best I still think the Aces freshman will suprise some Valley teams this year.
