They're young, the first Valley road game, etc.

Back away from the cliff. There's a lot of basketball to be played this season

Did Lofton get yanked/booted in the second half or was he just completely ineffective?

Is Gavin Thurman injured or in the dog house?

Lofton gotta Tech at the end of the 1st half complaining about a no call on the buzzer beater...

Muller only put him in for 2 mins in the 2nd half, that cost the RedBirds the game... If Lofton played quality minutes in the 2nd half, then the Birds win...

I don't think it's fair to sacrifice quality wins to teach 1 player a "lesson".... Teach him tomorrow in practice don't sacrifice your first conference game against a quality opponent .

This 1 may come back to bite us.

Meltown. We handed that game on a silver platter despite the foul disparity and poor free throw shooting on our part. I don't see many teams coming into redbird arena and winning against us easy. Still trying to figure out if we are better than being given credit this year or MSU is not as good as they look on paper.

Could IlSU have conditioning issues? This game looked like the 'Birds just didn't have anything left after 35 minutes. If conditioning is an issue, it could be a loooong season.

Maybe shortening the bench by keeping Lofton out contributed to wearing the 'Birds down.

Biggest difference is the Bears figured out the Press and only had 1 TO in 2nd half and overtime. They had 7 in the first. ISU loves to run and they are fun to watch. Redbirds will be tough to beat later in the year.
