Verbatim, outside of winning out which is paramount, ISU is best served by Illinois State, Bradley & Southern Illinois earning the 4-6 seeds (averting them), Missouri State consuming the 3rd, and Northern Iowa staying in 7th, from SOS lenses. Of course, that lessens the Sycamores' odds of reaching the CBS game, but provides an incremental cushion if they fall to WSU again.

Odum is a winner who makes winning plays, Lemon is not.

Plus the Sycamores made and shot a lot of FT's....Bradley was horrible from the line. Ugly performance by Bradley. Sycs weren't pretty but Odum was enough.

Congrats Trees.

What a Joke? Odum got every call and Walt not a one! Walt even had a basket taken away!

Odum played his best game of the yr!

Sycs made daggers....and the free throw line that was the diff.

Y the shots at Walt? .......22 pts, 4 boards,2 assists, nearly more steals than the whole ISU team 6 to 5 for Walt. Sure it took 20 shots and he had 7 TO"S but in his defense he was fouled all night long and the refs just swallow the whistle and look to see how Odum is doin.........IT WAS SICK! Also, we played most the first half w/o Barnes and only got 20 pts. Had chances even late but they have been there before we have not they hit shots we did not blah blah blah.

I haven't made it to very many games this year and I regret having gone to this game.

Interesting dilemma now for ISU fans. With IU losing to Penn State tonight they are almost assured to make the NIT field. So is it going to be better for ISU to win the MVC tourney and make the NCAA field or finish strong, lose in the MVC tourney and face IU in a certain 1st round NIT game at Bloomington

There is that ISUb rival fan in sheep's clothing again. What a yo yo ?

ISUb and WSU are tied for third in the country with 9 true road wins.

What a log jam right now in the standings. Four teams with a 6-7 record, IlSt, UNI, Bradley and SIU. I predict SIU and UNI place 4th and 5th with IlSt and Bradley fighting it out for 6th. We'll know a lot more next Tuesday after Bradley plays at IlSt and SIU.

Odum went off. He was making and-one runners, treys and free throws like it was going out of style. They didn't even graze the rim. And the Braves couldn't hit a free throw to save their lives and Walt had his poorest game since early January probably. Yeah the officiating was really really bad (an Indiana State player was out of bounds and jumped, touched the ball without reestablishing himself inbounds and nothing was called right in front of the bald ref, with like a minute left and a 4 point game) but the Braves gave the game away at the line.

In Walt's defense, at least a couple of those turnovers were in the last couple minutes when the Braves were down and in foul mode and he had to force the action.

Saturday's game at Normal has big implications for the Thursday night. The winner gets the tiebreaker over the other so it amounts to a 1.5 game lead with 4 to play. BURY THE DEADBIRDS!!!
