Another comment on MSU football. MSU benefactor John Q Hammonds pledged the money to build the new Hammonds Center. Mr. Hammonds died within the last year or so and there is speculation that the Hammonds foundation will not complete payment on the Center. MSU supposedly facing a very large debt. May effect football expansion plans-move to the SUNBELT. This is what I hear. Perhaps some Springfield MSU fans can comment further.

You are a joke, MSU has 11 million left on thier portion of JQH Arena. The Hammons estate is not managed by the foundation so any statement of the sort shows your ignorance. In addition to all of these ridiculous comments MSU just recieved a 40 million dollar increase in funds for athletic facilities.

My nephew in Springfield works for a sports media production / filming company. He is around HS and college sports everyday. He said he had never heard a MSU to the SUNBELT rumor.

You are so disconnected from reality it is comical. In the last 2 weeks the local morning talk show has dedicated 2 deprecate days to discuss the sunbelt. Last Wednesday the largest TV network in southwest Missouri had focused on the Sunbelt and whether or not FBS would be supported in Springfield. Hope your nephew still has a job, it is not wise to nap during production.

You claim to be a Missouri State graduate and yet you don't even know the name of the largest and most influential benefactor in the schools history? It's Hammons, not Hammonds. Wow!
