For a high and mighty guy that has just pranced on here out of nowhere and dishing out how "logical, reasonable, and communicating" I'm supposed to be, you sure haven't wasted any time dropping "reading comprehensible" lines, personal insults, and what not. You have now magically turned into the same thing you're whining about.

You have provided NOTHING to this message board in your time here. You have solely concentrated on giving me an internet crash course on how to "talk on a message board". Your basketball-to-me posting ratio is sitting at about 1:7. This from a person who's saying he is here to come to talk basketball. lol. You're a hypocrite. And it took you less than 48 hours confirm that.

You can follow me around til the day you die for all I care. You're not going to change how I post, what I post, etc. In fact, you're going to end up making it worse. For how goody-goody and high-nosing you've tried to claim to be, you're ending up doing the complete opposite of what you preach to do.

If you don't like the "garbage" I post, you can do several things to solve this untimely problem.
1.) You can leave
2.) You can ignore me
3.) You can continue to follow me around and do the same thing you claim I'm doing

Simple as that. This isn't redbirdfan.net. I'm sorry if I don't sugar-coat your Redbirds enough to your liking. I'm sorry I've made you  about it.

This site is almost unreadable at times. No wonder it's so dead when the environment is 75% bickering and pissing matches. It's almost toxic. I'm not the only getting tired of this crap am I? It's not going to change if we all just sit around and brush it off like its normal. We don't all have to get along but you'd think most of us would be capable of acting like adults.

Back to the discussion. I'm going to give ISUR some credit and criticism. ISU always has athletes and talent. They can come up and win against almost anyone almost anytime. But they can also lose to almost anyone at anytime too. Their talent allows them to win against anyone but either their lack of strong character or leadership guys make them susceptible to turnovers and bad IQ plays at anytime. There are some ISU fans who have argued against their bad character guys before but something is missing.

Funny..that wasn't the case until you were called out during the Spain trip. Hmmm.
Called out? You mean by Muller?
Seem to remember an interview he did expressing disappointment in the speculation over the Hawkins situation on the overseas trip. There was talk at the time it was directed at your twitter. It just seems you've soured on the team and Muller since then. Just my opinion.

Muller isn't bringing in bad character players...but a lot of these "better athletes" lack some of the more refined basketball skills (shooting & ball handling) and a higher basketball IQ which leads to their inconsistent level of play. That's all on the coaches though because if they want to bring in athletic guys with supposedly higher ceilings it's up to the staff to improve or refine their play making ability.

There are couple glaring issues regarding Muller's tenure:

1) The the starters he's lost to transfer...Nic Moore (SMU), Jon Ekey(Illinois), Nick Ziesloft (Indiana), Reggie Lynch (Minnesota). This can't continue if ISUr ever wants to get to a higher level.

2) The lack of recruiting knock down shooting 2 guards. The Valley is a guard oriented league yet this team does not have anyone they can count on to consistently score from the 3 pt line. The fact that Tony Wills starts for ISUr confirms a serious misstep in recruiting that needs to be addressed.

Finally someone with substance.

I think a lot of the problem (this year) with ISU is that they've switched schemes (again) due to a defection. The talent and schedule this year was centered around having Lynch in the fold, and without him we're having to adapt. Now, here's where I'll give Muller the credit that others haven't. He realizes we can't win many half-court grind-it-out games, so he's pushing tempo more. Thus, the only experienced players we have are learning a different system (which takes time), and the others are rookies trying the best to adjust to the pace of the college game (like almost all freshman are). This is why I said before that we're so raw. Our best players are the underclassmen.

In addition, the NCAA has tightened the whistle, and when you're playing afull court, high tempo, trapping defense, you have to learn how to do that with the current enforcement of the rules. That takes time as well.

I think the team is stronger than it's record is letting on right now, they are just having to figure out how to play without Lynch, a new scheme (offensively and defensively), and with new rules. They'll figure it out... but if we don't see any progress this year, THEN it falls on the coaching staff. I'm not ready to chuck them under the bus just yet this year with the perfect storm of changes that have happened.
