This is just beyond embarrassing for Evansville. This is the year. Schedule for it. I can understand a couple of horrid schedules by the teams trying to pick themselves up off the bottom of the league during a rebuild. A team that should be trying to compete for a league title and more importantly, an at-large bid, should fire everyone involved for intenetionally putting together that type of schedule.

Agreed, what is their best win right now that wil STILL look good by season's end?

Better hope to win the Valley Tournament or no NCAA's with their best team in ages. Sad

I agree completely. This year's schedule was created with one goal in mind: secure Marty's next contract. Get another 20+ win season and fool the masses into thinking they have accomplished something. Last night they beat their 3rd SWAC team. Throw in Norfolk State from the MEAC, and that makes 4 wins against teams from the worst 2 conferences in D-1. Kenpom shows the adjusted SOS as 299. Embarrassing.

I will cheer them on and be excited to watch them in the NIT this year. I just have to wonder what could have been if they actually scheduled a non-conference slate that was at-large worthy.

Yep. I feel a little sorry for Evansville fans. Not really sorry, as they probably should have been clamoring about this for several years now, but that schedule just makes one sad.

Nothin' wrong with that Oakland win for SIU. I watched the MSU Oakland game last night...they're competitive.

Didn't see that game, but they were without Valentine, correct?
