Yeah, as this unfolded I realized my guy definitely wasn't supposed to tell me this in advance.

Unfortunate news for Evansville.

This was a real bomb shell for all Aces fans. Walter had said that DeAndre could possibly be the best basketball player ever at UE, and we were all hoping that while we weren't going to win the conference, it would be a large step in getting to the level that we are hoping for. It has now degenerated into a nasty discussion on when they knew about his academic problems, and why we are just now hearing about it, from a season ticket point of view.

We knew this was going to be a transition year, but we also know the Aces would have be a much better team with DeAndre, than without him.

Teams like Evansville, Bradley, ISU, etc. don't get guys like DeAndre if there weren't a lot of questions surrounding him. That's just how it works. Hopefully for UE's sake it gets worked out and he has a great career in Evansville.

Granted, the one other thing that my guy said was that DeAndre is super talented and that he thinks he has a very realistic shot to play in the NBA one day.
