Frustrating because we've been in every game we've played (Nevada may be the exception, but they fought the full 40) but they're just missing wide open shots.

Illinois State only 7 available to play. Zach Copeland did not play against UIC due to soreness in knee. Zero available guards off the bench (only Idowu & Gassman).

I think there are 9 teams in this league that could finish in the top 4 (sorry, Valpo). Going to be a really fun league year and a great tournament in St Louis.

Think you might’ve confused Valpo with Northern Iowa.

Think you might've confused Valpo with UNI with Missouri State.

But really, I think Southern Illinois has had the best showing so far (except for that UMASS game...). But after that, who knows. If I had to pick the "most likely" PIG teams at this point, I'd go Valpo, MoSt, UNI and...Evansville? But all four have shown some flashes and/or have some good pieces.

Mo State had a good win last night against - what was supposed to be- a really good WKU team had wins over Valpo, and West VA, but collected losses at Indiana State and Missouri State.

Makes me think.. with 3 three MVC teams on their schedule, is WKU showing they want to fit in to the MVC??? I know the Valpo game was a part of MTE.

I don't know, everyone except SIU has left a lot to be desired. Most of the league had a bad showing last night. Loyola losing at home to Ball State (yuck), North Texas pummeling INST, and the Redbirds shart themselves. I won't even use the "only 6 scholarship players available excuse". It was gross.

I do think 1-7 will be within 3 games of each other.
O/U the number of 9-9 teams in the league? I'll set it at 4.5.

Zero chance of WKU to MVC (FBS football) It just makes good geographic sense for them to play MVC teams and the MVC is a strong league that can give quality schedule enhancing games for minimal travel cost. It's the same reason why Ball State UIC Belmont and UMKC play so many MVC schools even though their chances of joining the league in the near future are between slim and none.

I think the jury is still out on Mo State. The only "Bad" loss they have is at Air Force, which could just as easily have happened to any Valley team based on what I have seen. The other losses were to USC, Nebraska, Oregon State, and a good Murray team that I think would win the Valley. New coach, new system, an ever changing roster as their players gain NCAA eligibility. Valpo lost to WKU by double digits and Mo State flat out dominated much of that second half against WKU and their 4* and 5* recruits. Mo State may very well finish at the bottom but I think it's too early to call them a sinking ship.

Salukis have had their opportunities against #10 UK, and #19 Buffalo to make a national statement, but did not. Close but no cigar. After UMass debacle, they have won at Colorado State, at Tulsa, and at siue. Home win last night vs St. Louis is solid as they were picked to win A10. Semo is next and than another good test vs Murray State, who is picked to win OVC and has a top draft pick pg. Win these next two and I'm impressed, and have some hope at a good season. With six returning seniors, there really is no excuse for Hinson this year.

Drake wins at Milwaukee 75-61. Norton a good night from 3. Freshman Robbins had 12 rebounds. Nick McGlynn with 15 points. Bulldogs were ahead about 20 most the 2nd half.

Drake game was not as close as the score indicated. Glad we were able to win without our most athletic player.
