MVC Week 2

We have our first Thursday team - welcome Evansville.

I feel bad for UE fans. So much promise and now this. That tonight was one of the worst performances I've seen in an MVC game in a long time. Yeah, Williams didn't play, but Childs didn't play for Bradley either.

The effort on the defensive end by Evansville was less than non existent. I felt bad for Coach Steltzer. Dude was coaching his ass off but the players couldn't care less. I can see why Sam Cunliffe is on his third school in four years---what a dog.

But, it's a 20 point road win for Bradley and you don't apologize for those.

The longer this goes on, the bigger the flames in the dumpster.

None of this is on Selzer. Right now he is nothing more than a substitute teacher. The players aren't responding, there is little he can do.

The fans are checking out as well. Smallest crowd of the season tonight. To put it in perspective, we had more fans for a Thursday night game in November against D-3 IU-Kokomo than we had for a conference game with Bradley tonight.

It's just nothing but a kick in the nads for all of us.

Good point on Selzer. Not his fault at all. I felt bad for him last night. And I was shocked at how few fans were there last night based on early season attendance. Wow. Really does suck for longtime Aces fans.

And Marcus Wilson was giving UE the business on the TV broadcast. Wow.

I have no desire to ever watch that nightmare again - what did Wilson say? Just curious - I'd be interested to know.

And you are 100% correct with your assessment - this team is done - it's best I don't post what I really think of Cunliffe.

I gave my opinion on Cunliffe after the exhibition game with USI. Nothing has changed. I hope his budding career as a color man on the Lady Aces streaming broadcasts leads to something good for him.

Cunliff has one of the worst attitudes who has ever put on an Aces uniform.The attitude even spread over to Newton toward the end of the game

I find it odd and sad that you would share an obsevation/opinion like this on MVCfans but not have discussed it on the Bradley game thread on Purple Ace Place.

I'm usually not "kick them off" guy, but I think UE would be served better in the long run moving on from Cunliffe. He isn't going to change. He can talk a good game but he's a dog. That's who he is. Don't let it ruin the locker room. Play some of the younger guys. You can't count on him for anything.

I am not quite there with you tribe on kicking him off. Obviously we need to resolve who would be responsible for kicking him off first. I would like to see how he responds to having someone riding his rear first and holding him accountable.
