Time for them to move on with their lives, which matters much more than playing college basketball. Time for the younger players to have their chance.

Spare me the naive and selfish crap.

To a lot of these kids, playing college ball is the highlight of their young lives. How soon we forget what it's like about being an adult and "moving on". I'll support any decision they and the University make because that's what it's about.

Of course it is the highlight. It is also the highlight for the younger players who will lose a year because some guy wanted to play another year. Move on with your lives.

"Get off my lawn" vibes. Gotta love it.

Indiana cans Archie Miller to the tune of $10 mil.

He obviously won't need to rush to a new job. He had success in the A10. Maybe when an MVC job opens in the next couple years, Miller gets a call.

Porter Mosier is listed as a potential candidate for the DePaul job.Im sure he's smart enough to not take that job.

He’s also been mentioned in connection with the Indiana job, although I think they go with a bigger name for that one.

If he's smart he won't take the IU job either. 3 Sweet 16s in 5 years wasn't enough to save Crean and Archie did worse. The grass isn't always greener. IU fans\boosters\administration are delusional. They think it's their birthright to win the national championship every year. Plus it's not like Loyola can't pay Porter whatever he wants to stay. They have the money.

Maybe one to be concerned about for Porter; Marquette parts ways with the Woj. Marquette is definitely in his recruiting neck of the woods as both Milwaukee and Chicago are part of the base. A similar profile institution wise to DePaul, but such a better basketball setting to land in the Big East. :o

No. Iowa hoops coach Ben Jacobson interviewed for the #Gophers job over the weekend, sources tell KSTP Sports. We hear at least 1 other in-person interview has already occurred, w/ at least 1 more on the horizon today. Utah St coach Craig Smith is expected to interview in-person.

UNI Fans concerned? Do you feel if Jake leaves, Kyle Green gets the gig, at least in an interim setting?

I'd put my level of concern at about 3/10. He's got awesome connections in the Twin Cities and I really think he'd be able to keep some of that talent at home. A smart AD is going to understand why this year was what this year was. In the end, I think they end up going with one of the Mountain West guys (Smith, Medved, Dutcher) but it's not insignificant that he interviewed.

I believe that Kyle Green would probably go with him and take AJ and that's part of what Jake's pitch to the job would be. UNI's top candidates would be Ben Johnson (former assistant now at Xavier), Brooks McKowen and Drew Valentine (I've heard our AD talk about how impressed he is with him).

I don't think he gets it but I also know he comes across great in interview like settings.

It's definitely one of a handful of jobs that would make sense for Jake. I wouldn't fault him for taking it if offered. And I'll be very glad if he decides to stay or isn't offered the job.

And yes, I think it's virtually certain Kyle Green would have first stab at the job if Jake leaves. Now, if both he AND AJ wanted to follow Jake to Minnesota? That would be the nightmare scenario.

I'm a bit more worried than a 3/10.

I also think UNI can get Kyle Green to stay. A head coaching gig, keeping his family stable, and a salary bump would sound alot better than following Jake.
