Once again, Belmont is playing short handed. Like the last game, we depended a lot on freshmen who had 80 of the 200 minutes. We were toe to toe with Furman until the middle of the second half and the youth of our team started showing. Freshmen dominated teams are very inconsistent and it showed last night. We killed ourselves at the free throw line going only 4 of 13. At least that is fixable.

On the bright side, we had a couple of our players return, but mostly for a few minutes. We're still down two upperclassmen. Freshman Cade Tyson scored 18 again. He looks like he is going to be a player.

Bradley is a middle of the pack MVC team without Reink Mast.

Not sure Bradley will beat any MVC teams when Hickman, Leons and Henry combine 5 for 26 shooting. The offense has to come from somewhere with Rienk out. Utah State is a good team but there were a lot of open looks that just were not falling.

I expected more from Deen. The loss of Terry Roberts has been pretty devastating so far.

Evansville is leading SLU 39-37 at half. Fought back from 13 down in the first half. And Collins for SLU is human as he turns it over in the first half.

This Evansville team is fun to watch. Every guy on the court plays hard.

He led the team in scoring last night with 15 points and hit three, threes. The returning guys were the problem offensively. And the normally solid defense wasn’t there.
