This team has talent, but I expect ups and downs ahead. Good win today. Gonna need to come back to do it again tomorrow.

You must have been taking to 2nd graders who know nothing about college basketball. “The new Valpo” :D

We’re as liable to lay an egg as play like we did tonight and we will lose some we shouldn’t have for sure BUT I’m as optimistic as I’ve been about this brand new team.

Just don’t be like us and turn around and lose by 18 to an OVC School. I’m in Carbondale right now hoping that we can beat up on Tennessee State tonight.

I’m so excited to see what this team has to offer this season! I think 4 weeks in things are going to look way different than expected.

Murray State is a much better program than Valpo. The last 6 years have proven that to be conclusively true. They are going to be fine. They will not be "The new Valpo." They will be a consistently competitive program year in and year out. Today they obliterated the "Stepping up to the MVC is a tough transition so give Lottich time to adjust" argument that was so popular among Valpo fans for a few years (and that I myself have used to comfort myself in the past early on when we were still in our first few years of MVC membership.) I'm glad they're now a part of the MVC. They deserved to be in 2017 and as they just conclusively proved for us they clearly deserve it now. It's just amazing to me that by their third game of MVC membership they have done more for MVC basketball than Valpo has in their entire time. How far we've fallen as a program but how wonderful it is to see the MVC thriving even amid membership transitions and Murray State (who I have long desired to see in the MVC) contributing so much so early to the cause!

People thought they were only good because they were in the OVC. Obviously not true.

So hard to get a feel for this year; Colorado waxes TAM by 28 today, a week or so after losing to Grambling.
